Core handle is born thanks to the acquaintance of a very skillful craftsman specialized in Corian working and with a long collaboration with Mariani. The idea to realize the first handle totally Corian made seemed reasonable tous considering its main peculiarities: warm sensation to the touch, highly hygienic being a no porous material and the possibility to create something new with no big starting investments. The problem was to create a three-dimensional object starting from simple milling on semi-manufactured slab. Each shape, section, pasting has been made more and more times to find out the monolithic aspect we looked for and the right resistance. Opening mechanism has been made specifically. Produced in white and black finishes.

After the Red Dot Design Award 2009, Core has been nominated for the “Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2010”.

Our Core handle won the Red Dot Design Award 2009 and will be included in the Red Dot Design Museum, Essen.
