Falena lamp is small and discrete but extremely functional. Even when switched off it announces its delicate presence, thanks to an interplay of light and shade that gives the structure movement. Its sober design hides a strong personality. The main component is the front metal element, which screens and directs the light; It’s an extruded profile enhanced by a non-orthogonal cut at the sides and by rounded edges. The light source is completely screened so the illumination intensely emerges from openings at the back of the diffuser, directing the light up and down, without glare.
Falena name comes from its real and visual lightness that refers to the world of nocturnal moths. A simple, everyday image for an extremely functional lamp that combines technical and decorative features.
