RAPHIA IN PARIS

18.12.2014

Only in Paris do sports clubs look like this. Since opening in 2010, Klay Club has been keeping fitness-minded design fans in good health by providing state-of-the-art exercise equipment in equally beautiful surroundings. While accustomed to helping clients look and feel their best, the club underwent a makeover of its own this year and now boasts a vibrant, even more attractive interior, courtesy of designer Charlotte Biltgen. An India Madhavi alumus, Biltgen has combined brass, marble and crushed velvet to breathe fresh air into the club’s shared spaces. The club’s covered terrace takes on a lively, tropical feel with eye-catching tabletops and colourful raffia and metal seating by Casamania. Biltgen has also transformed the club’s restaurant, now known as Le Sinople, which resembles a well-appointed hotel lobby and the perfect spot for a morning coffee, evening drink or a nutritious, yet gourmet meal. Helmed by chef Rémi Poulain, the restaurant uses produce sourced from Paris’ premium suppliers and designs menus catering to health-conscious foodies that still want to enjoy the good life.
